Hosted on the 3rd floor of River City Bangkok from 17 October until 24 November, Bangkok Persian Carpet Exhibition 2019 will showcase precious and exquisite Persian carpets altogether valued at 50 million baht exclusively curated by Art on da Floor, a community of avid collectors led by Mr. Jitrakorn Mongkholtham.
This event is to exhibit and sell rare and collectible Persian carpets themed by Persian Carpet and Your Lifestyle. Each individual exhibition room has been transformed into preferable home spaces to narrate a fantastic odyssey of more than 30 Persian carpets in daily living surroundings.
Discover a 100% fine wool carpet from the Amoghli family who designed and produced carpets exclusively for the Iranian Palace. Aged almost a century, the one selected for this exhibition is a legend from the palace and costs over 10 million baht. Moreover, there is a room featuring a range of interesting anecdotes about a relevance between Persian carpets and Thai silks through eras. Also, there will be a showcase of exquisite Persian carpets in juxtaposing with a classic and elegant grand piano aged more than 140 years. It’s one and only custom-made grand piano by Steinway and Sons in Thailand worth 10 million baht.
